The MRSA and Clostridium Difficile Superbugs, cases of en masse food poisoning, highly-publicised health violations within the food and catering industry, facilities condemned as unfit for use... and on and on the list seemingly grows. Worries over the safety of public and customer services are at an all-time high.
For two local companies in the South West however, this recent heightening of concern has finally led to some recognition of the work they have been producing and promoting for years. Rudge Brothers & James have been long-term exponents of Altro Whiterock, a unique wall covering that places a premium on the combination of hygiene, functionality and style together with Altro safety flooring.
When another local company, DL Spencer & Co. Ltd, Commercial catering Engineers, was contracted to re-model and re-fit the large kitchen at Frenchay Residential home, head honcho Dave Spencer quickly identified a problem. DL Spencer had all of the expertise needed to take out the old and put in the new - all of the electrical appliances, wiring and points, gas and plumbing; addition of much needed storage space in the confines of a working kitchen; practical equipment that will get the job done and look great at the same time. What they didn't have, and what the elderly residents at Frenchay needed, was a germ-free sealed surrounding that would add cleanability to usability.
One phone call to counterpart Jim Heal of Rudge Brothers and James and it was problem solved. Within weeks residents not only had a fully fitted deluxe kitchen to be proud of, they also had the security of knowing it was safe and hygienic. The unique Altro Whiterock fitting means fully-sealed joints (even round corners having been thermoformed on site) and leaves no gaps or spaces for germs and bacteria to set up camp. Even Frenchay's dedicated staff are happier as the new surfaces are much easier and quicker to clean.
With over 36 years combined experience between them, DL Spencer and RBJ have discovered that Partnership really does work. And with both companies firmly on the up and up, that can only be good news for staff and customers alike.
This really could be the start of a beautiful friendship!
Jim Heal said; " Our two companies share the same values and ethos and working together in this way will always have more benefits than pitfalls. Dave and I have both understand that meeting the needs of your customers comes first, second and third in our list of priorities. If, by combining our skills, we can create an environment that is stylish, functional, innovative and above all safe then we know we've done our jobs.
Dave Spencer continued; "As a company we thrive on repeat business and referrals. These days clients have such a diversity of needs and requirements that it makes sense for like-minded companies to work together. We know what we're good at and the skills we can offer and as long as any partner company has the same standards of care and professionalism as we do, then it works for us and the client."
